Corel Draw Running Very Slow

My corel x7 is ungodly slow. Any ideas why?

On top of freezing up occasionally on relatively simple tasks, I'll go to open a file and it'll honestly take up to 30 minutes at times for it to open. That can't be normal. Any ideas why it would be running so slow? I have x32 on my laptop and x64 on my desktop and they're both just incredibly slow.

I don't think it is a file size issue, because the file I was working with today was only 248 mb and that took 25 minutes to open at one point today.

there has been some activity discussing the WIN10 Creator updates creating the havoc. My X8 started acting up - now basic copy/paste, any file I/O and printer configurations slows everything down making the mouse lag and switching to other tasks ridiculously slow. No other program has these issues.

Hopefully MS will correct the issue because it is doubtful Corel will suggest anything else but an upgrade for $200

I started having this issue after windows updates today. Every save or copy/paste makes the mouse lag and is atrociously slow. I got the same issue using my work's Corel 2017.

Any leads? I've tried most things. I got it work better in safe mode but short of going service by service I'm at a loss.

So I did make progress and got it to run slightly better by uninstalling the windows update kb4048955.

Guys, @ Corel site i've found a "solution" with Fall Creators Update + AMD GPU cards... did a CLEAN INSTALL of 17.7.2 Crimson driver and it's all fine again... some issues with AMD + Fall Creators + Corel are going on... hope an UPDATE very soon!
