How Long To Leave Bandage On After Blood Draw
I'chiliad such a wimp just does anyone who has a blood test know how long you should keep the bandage on and how to take it off without any pain or sting at all? Is there any run a risk of infection is there is an open in that location?
Thank you
I practise the tests really often crusade of my basketball tests and take it off after 3 minutes max. Nothing ever happened to me.

Oh yeh, sorry, it is pretty much cotton wool with a viscid flake lol...thank you
I know that when I give platelets I'1000 supposed to proceed the plaster on for around 4-half dozen hours IIRC, just that'south a bigger needle. I'd give it a few hours just to be on the safe side. Every bit long as there was enough pressure put on it after the needle went out and then at that place shouldn't have been too much bleeding, and the plaster is just there as a safeguard.
As to taking it off without any hurting or sting? Is information technology literally some gauze nether a bandage or is information technology a viscid plaster? If it'south a glutinous plaster you could soak it off in the bathroom/shower. Otherwise merely take off the bandage and gauze and it shouldn't injure tbh.
The hole is so minor that the chances of infection are very slim, every bit it'll first to heal over chop-chop!
I e'er just go a piece of cotton fiber to dab on it for a couple of minutes just information technology's normally gone past the time I get out and doesn't really injure anymore
